Product information in this domain can be fragmented, euphemistic, inconsistent, or missing details that affect safety and compatibility. A semantic model can make the information more explicit while still requiring careful language and privacy-aware product design.
My role
I develop the ontology and use it as a foundation for the public KISS AI demo. The work combines ontology engineering, product modeling, inclusive terminology, and explainable recommendation concepts.
Approach
The ontology represents product types, materials, anatomy, use cases, safety properties, compatibility constraints, and terminology. SHACL-style thinking helps make validation and consistency part of the model rather than an afterthought.
The project applies ontology-engineering methods to product search and information quality while accounting for inclusivity, privacy, and safety. The semantic model is intended to support clearer discovery, catalog interoperability, and explainable recommendations.
